  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  State lotteries have been around for awhile to help build up state revenue. In such things as scratch off instant tickets or daily number drawings. To some these things are evil, but to some others who’s lives aren’t the greatest, it’s a shimmer of hope that most people don’t have. Now the thing about the lottery is a lot of people don’t win, but those few that do could be put into a nice situation that they’ve never been in before. This is the land of freedom and opportunity, isn’t that we are giving the commonwealth?   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  If we would take away the lottery it would take away from the retired people who the lottery money goes to as well. I don’t like to know that the money is going to them, I rather see the state invest into the future instead of wasting money away on the past. Either way the lottery does help out certain people. â€Å"If nobody ever won the lottery, then nobody would play it. The public appreciates that the odds against them are very high indeed, but the purchase of a ticket gives them a chance of a fortune, however remote, and the opportunity to dream of a different life. As other forms of gambling are legal, along with many other ways of harmlessly but enjoyably wasting money, there is nothing wrong with the government benefitting from the pursuit.†The odds against the common man are very great, so to them to have a real chance at overcoming everything in life with a purchase of a one dollar power ball tic...

Political Relating to the protection of the environment Kraft Foods Inc. is subject to various federal and state laws in the United States, taking into account that it has manufacturing facilities in approximately 70 countries and a presence in 170 countries worldwide. Another factor is that the UK government took a decision to increase value added tax up to 20% that its previous level of 17.5% in January 2011 this can negatively the profits made in the UK (HMRC, 2010; The Guardian, 2010). Economic Kraft Foods Inc. products are made with fresh raw materials such as sugar, corn, grains, and coffee therefore, the price unpredictability can affect the profitability of the company. Given the economic uncertainty this has reduced the spending power of consumers. The overall operation of Kraft Foods Inc. is wide and large, however there are negative impacts on the company for example the exchange rates, fluctuations in currency can have an impact on the company’s earnings. Social The world is leaning towards being more health conscious therefore, consumers are looking for the more healthy option. This social pattern has provided the company in entering new and emerging markets where consumers are willing to spend more. Technological In recent years technology has advanced to help companies to reduce carbon-dioxide emission to protect the environment. Kraft Foods has adopted a course of action to assist with this cause. The company is investing in  nanotechnology (Kraft Foods, 2010). Environmental There are constant pressure from the Government and public agencies about the way in which companies operate and its impact on the environment. The use of new technology would assist with this problem. Legal The highly rigid and competitive industry is threatened by the inherent risks arising out of legal actions and failure to comply with laws and policies could affect sales and create consumer skepticism.

Structure of a 5-paragraph essay

A 5-paragraph essay is a formal format of a short essay. It is very widely spread and used in middle schools, high schools, and universities. Such essay is supposed to have 5 paragraphs: an introductory paragraph; three body paragraphs with your main point and supporting points with evidence; a concluding paragraph. An introductory paragraph An introductory paragraph is a paragraph where you slightly introduce the problem you are going to open to the reader, arouse interest in your topic, explain it or show the meaning of your topic. An introductory paragraph is supposed to include a thesis and something like a small outline of your essay. This is the part where the writer arouses the readers interest and attention. It notifies the reader what will be the topic of the paper. The last sentence has to have a logical chain, which will lead the reader to the body part of the essay. First paragraph of the body section The first paragraph should state the strongest statement or argument, the most vivid illustration, the simplest but sophisticated example. The first sentence should be logically tied with the ending sentence in the introduction. The subject of the second paragraph has to be in the second sentence. The main point should be related to the thesis in the introduction paragraph. The last sentence should connect the second paragraph with the third one. The second paragraph of the body section The second paragraph should contain the second strongest point, the second most vivid illustration, and the second simplest but sophisticated example or an obvious following of statements mentioned in the starting paragraph of the body. The beginning should contain the ending link of the logical chain carried through the introduction and the first and second paragraphs of the body. The main topic for this paragraph should be mentioned in the first one. This topic should be related to the main point of the introduction. The ending sentence should contain a logical chain to the third paragraph of the body section. The third paragraph of the body section The third paragraph must contain the least important and most meaningful statement. The first sentence of this paragraph should contain the logical ending of the logical chain seen in the previous sentences. The main point is supposed to be in the first sentence. This thesis has to be related to the introduction. The ending sentence has to have a hook, that tells the reader that this is an ending point of the essay, and that the conclusion will proceed. Concluding paragraph The concluding paragraph should contain the following: The finalization and the logical ending of the introduction paragraph A duplication of the main point but in a new, original language. The conclusion of the 3 body paragraphs A final point, that tells the reader that the discussion is over, and the final statement is proved and developed.
